The Application Station helps young people facing crisis such as homelessness, family breakdown, mental health struggles, and other complex challenges to take their first steps toward independence and employment.
Coordinators Anna and Elisha lead supportive sessions that build confidence, routine, and real-world skills through activities like Walk and Talk, Craft and Calm, and identifying Values and Strengths. The programme focuses on improving wellbeing and work- readiness at a pace that meets each individual’s needs.
Many participants are NEET, and the project helps them recognise their strengths, develop life skills, and prepare for education, apprenticeships, or work. The Application Station combines employability training with wellbeing initiatives such as the NHS Five Ways to Wellbeing. Together, these create a foundation for independence—empowering young people to move forward with confidence and purpose.
